UNIVERSAL ACCESS BRONZE MAP OF RICHARDSON OLMSTEAD CAMPUS
Bronze wayfinding map for Richardson Olmstead Campus, Buffalo, New York.
Concept Realizations was contracted to design and manufacture the bronze elements of a universal wayfinding map for the Richardson Olmstead Campus.
We designed scale models of the campus’ Gothic buildings, and 3D printed them in bronze. We patinated them to a medium finish, which will slowly darken with time, and develop highlights where visitors touch it. The color imagery and raised Braille text and textures were printed in low relief directly onto the bronze panel with a weather-poof UV ink.
